This work brings together two collections of stories by Mario Benedetti: 'Esta mañana' (1949) and 'Montevideanos' (1959). In 'Esta mañana', the author's youth and the literary influences of the time are appreciated. 'Montevideanos', on the other hand, shows Benedetti's personal and mature voice, consolidating itself as a success in his narrative career. This collection offers a complete vision of the author's evolution and his unique style.
