Essie/ET SI Je Changeais De Maman ?

Synopsis of Essie/ET SI Je Changeais De Maman ?

«Essie. Et si je changeais de maman ?» is a children's book by Claire Clément, published by Bayard Editions Jeunesse in paperback (32 pages, in French).

Essie fantasizes about the possibility of changing her mum: while she imagines what another mother might be like, the illustrations show her with her cat, surrounded by floating women and messy objects. From that idea, the story addresses childhood feelings and doubts about family.

The cover indicates the collection 'mes premiers j'aime lire'; published in 2007.

For a young audience starting to read; the story begins with an everyday fantasy and the illustrations help follow the narrative.
