«Érase dos veces el barón Lamberto» is Gianni Rodari's children's novel, published by La Galera in paperback (160 pages, in Spanish).
Baron Lamberto, old, extremely rich and suffering from twenty-four ailments, believes that hearing his name repeated without rest will prolong his life, following an ancient Egyptian secret. So he hires six people to repeat it day and night. The arrival of these reciters triggers unexpected changes in his mansion and in his relationship with the butler Anselmo.
It belongs to the Grumetes collection (no. 78) and is illustrated by Pavla Reznícková. The work was originally published in Italian in 1978.
Aimed at children and young readers from 10 years old; combines humour and fantasy.

Giovanni Francesco "Gianni" Rodari was an Italian writer and journalist, most famous for his works of children's literature, notably Il romanzo di Cipollino. For his lasting contribution as a children's author, he received the biennial Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 1970. He is considered Italy's most important 20th-century children's author, and his books have been translated into many languages, though few have been published in English.
