Synopsis of Endrapallibres

«Endrapallibres» is the children's story by Lluís Farré Estrada, published by Cruïlla in paperback (64 pages, in Catalan).

A humorous tale about a girl with a voracious appetite who eats everything without ever feeling full, until her grandfather suggests she try eating a book. The letters awaken new sensations in her, and she soon devours stories about zebras and giraffes, children who don't want to grow up, and fairies, eventually swallowing an entire library. When she grows up, she wants to cook books for the world's children.

Part of the El Barco de Vapor Blanca collection (no. 36). It won the 2002 Serra d'Or Critics' Prize for children's and young adult literature, for text and illustration.

Aimed at early readers aged 6 to 8; a story in Catalan full of humour, ideal for awakening a love of reading.
