«En defensa de las vacunas» is the essay by Carlos González, published by Espasa in paperback (352 pages, in Spanish).
The paediatrician Carlos González wittily refutes anti-vaccine arguments and encourages parents to protect their children's health. He defends vaccination as a medical practice that has prevented much suffering and death, and recalls that smallpox was defeated, while diseases such as measles or diphtheria reappear if immunisation rates drop.
The book belongs to the Vivir Mejor collection, bears the subtitle «Protege la salud de tu hijo» and was published in Madrid on 25 January 2011.
A read aimed at parents, and at any reader interested in child health and the vaccination debate.
