«Emita y Emota en... ¿Ahora quién me aúpa?» is the children's book by Graciela Montes (Fondo de Cultura Económica, paperback, 40 pages, in Spanish).
Ema often asks «¿Ahora quién me aúpa?» when she gets tired of walking, and her dad Venancio gives her a piggyback ride; if she falls asleep in the armchair, he carries her to bed. One day the routine breaks: Venancio doesn't arrive whistling as usual, nor gives her a kiss on the nose nor ruffles her hair.
Illustrated by Claudia Legnazzi. Part of the A la Orilla del Viento collection.
Recommended for preschool children and early readers, with a story about the relationship between parents and children.
