Synopsis of Émilie et le crayon magique

«Émilie et le crayon magique» is the children's fantasy novel by Henriette Bichonnier, published by Hachette Jeunesse in paperback (94 pages, in French).

Émilie finds a magic pencil that turns everything she draws into reality. Fascinated by castles and tournaments, she is transported to a Middle Ages of her own creation, where festivities, combats and an accusation of witchcraft await her. When the pencil disappears, she will have to find a way to escape that dangerous world.

Originally published in 1984 for the Livre de Poche Jeunesse collection, with illustrations by Vincent Penot.
