«El violí d'en Patrick» is the illustrated children's story by Quentin Blake, published by Blackie Little in hardback (44 pages, in Catalan).
Patrick discovers a violin at an antiques market whose music transforms everything around him: the sky fills with fireworks, animals join an impossible dance, and even trees swap their fruit for cakes. Fantasy and melody bring joy back even to the saddest, and the world stops being grey and becomes bright and fun.
Translation by Marina Espasa. Original title: «Patrick», work originally published in 1968. Catalan edition of 2019.
Recommended for children aged 6 and up who enjoy fantastical stories full of music.
