«El urogallo» is a collection of short stories by Michel Tournier, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardback (333 pages, in Spanish).
A collection of tales that starts from unusual and provocative questions to rewrite myths and everyday scenes with irony. Childhood, sexuality, death and nature are treated from a surrealist and disconcerting register, with unanswered questions as the driving force of the narrative.
Work originally published as «Le coq de Bruyère» in 1978; this 1995 edition includes translation and prologue by Lourdes Ortiz.
For readers of contemporary fiction and short stories seeking an ironic and provocative narrative, with echoes of French literature.
