«El Tlacuache Lunático» is a children's storybook by David Martín del Campo, published by Alfaguara Infantil in paperback (87 pages, in Spanish).
The book brings together seven independent stories, one for each day of the week, featuring animals such as a pigeon that ends up in a fox's soup, a rooster that wakes everyone with honks, or a coyote baker who can't steal chickens. Fantasy, humour and mischief mix with painter cats, sailor mice and an adventurous dog.
The full title of the work is 'El Tlacuache Lunático y otros cuentos'. Published in 2006, it is recommended for readers aged 7 to 9 and for levels 2 and 3 of primary school in Spanish.
