«El sitio de nadie» is the novel by Hilda Perera, published by Planeta in paperback (329 pages, in Spanish).
Four families react to the Castro regime in Cuba. More than a political analysis, the work shows characters forced to design and choose their own destiny: broken marriages, psychological conflicts, truncated teenage loves and exile. The failed April invasion precipitates an outcome where death, triumph and exile intersect.
The novel was a finalist for the Premio Planeta in 1972 and belongs to the Autores españoles e hispanoamericanos collection.
For readers of contemporary fiction interested in the human consequences of the Cuban revolution and exile.
