«El secreto de la orquídea» is the romantic suspense novel by Lucinda Riley, published by Plaza & Janes in hardback (553 pages, in Spanish).
After a loss, Julia Forrester seeks comfort in the greenhouse at Wharton Park, where she spent hours with her gardener grandfather. The sale of the mansion reveals a watercolour of a Thai orchid and a forgotten diary; only her grandmother, a former maid, holds the answers. The story goes back to the 1930s and spans three generations.
Published in 2011, it is part of the Éxitos collection from Plaza & Janes, translated from English by Patricia Orts García.
A read for fans of family sagas and romance with suspense, in the vein of The House at Riverton, Rebecca and Downton Abbey.
