Synopsis of El rei Carnestoltes
El libro 'El rei Carnestoltes' de Núria Font i Ferré, recrea el origen de la fiesta actual del carnaval. En un país lejano, las desgracias son comunes y se atribuyen al rey déspota, lo que lleva a su destitución y reemplazo por un gobernante justo. Para celebrar este cambio y el fin de los males, se organiza anualmente una fiesta donde la gente se disfraza, canta, baila y se burla de un muñeco de paja vestido de rey, conocido como 'el rei Carnestoltes', que es quemado en una hoguera el último día de la festividad.
