«El novio» is a novel by Enrique M. Butti, published in 2007 by El Cuenco de Plata in paperback (238 pages, in Spanish).
El Novio is a land-registry inspector and, during his inspections, seduces women who are alone, noting them down in a notebook so as not to confuse dates and lies. Neglecting his secret mission to report those who live in seclusion, he turns the conquest into an indiscriminate frenzy. A novel of love, humour and unease about solitude and deceit.
First edition published in Buenos Aires. Enrique M. Butti was born in 1949.
