«El nen gos» is the children's storybook by Fina Casalderrey and Francisco Castro, published by Andana Editorial in paperback in 2015 (78 pages).
The work brings together several stories featuring children from different parts of the world, including Aakex, Nadim, Altair, Leila and Carles, whose stories show situations in which their fundamental rights are threatened. Each story opens with an adaptation of the articles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, with a reflective and hopeful approach.
It is the first volume in the El Maquinista collection. The edition features illustrations by Patricia Castelao and a translation from Galician by Francesc Gisbert.
Recommended for child and young adult readers who want to reflect on children's rights through short stories.
Fina Casalderrey is a Spanish writer and educator, considered to be one of the most important writers of Galician children's literature.
