«El llibre de la senyoreta Buncle» is the classic fiction novel by D.E. Stevenson, published by Viena in 2015, in paperback (360 pages, in Catalan).
Miss Buncle, a spinster in her forties, runs out of savings and decides to write a novel. Lacking imagination, she portrays her neighbours under changed names and signs with a pseudonym. She never imagines that the book's publication could disrupt the quiet life of an English village with humour and unexpected situations.
Part of the «El cercle de Viena» collection (no. 52). Translated from English by Marta Pera Cucurell. The original novel was published in 1934.
For readers of classic fiction who appreciate Scottish humour and stories set in rural life.
Dorothy Emily Stevenson was a best-selling Scottish writer. She published more than 40 "light romantic novels" over a span of more than 40 years.
