«El Llibre de la Pau» is the pacifist tale by Bernard Benson, published by Editorial Claret in paperback (95 pages, in Catalan).
A grandfather tells his grandchildren how a boy and a girl managed to establish the first day without war in human history. The story shows that the union of those who want peace can avert the nuclear threat. The work gave rise to the movement «Els amics del Llibre de la Pau», spread across Europe, Japan, the Soviet Union, Australia and the United States.
Published in 2003, the book includes drawings by the author himself; the Catalan edition was promoted by Justícia i Pau.
A read for adults and children interested in pacifism and in understanding the arms race.
