«El libro de la pintura y los pintores» is a children's art book by Adrian Sington, illustrated by Tony Ross, published by Santillana in paperback.
An introduction to painting for young readers: it explores the world of art through the figure of the painter, with historical characters at the easel, portraits and studio scenes. The tone is informative and accessible, and the caricature illustrations provide a visual and humorous counterpoint to the history of painting.
Published in 1993, it has 92 pages in Spanish; the cover features the Mascota Información collection.
Recommended for children aged 8 and over and for young people who want to start learning about art history in an enjoyable way.
