«El libro de Atrus» is the fantasy novel by Rand and Robyn Miller with David Wingrove, published by Planeta DeAgostini in hardback (335 pages, in Spanish).
It recounts the origins of Atrus, descendant of the D'ni, masters of creating worlds through Descriptive Writing. Atrus grows up believing the legends of his people are only tales, until he discovers the underground realm and confronts his father Gehn in a conflict between truth and power. It expands the universe of the video game Myst.
First installment of the Myst series, identified in this edition as «Myst I»; translation by José López Jara of the original The Book of Atrus.
Recommended for those who played Myst and for fantasy readers who want to know the story prior to the game.
