«El ladrón de Bagdad» is an illustrated children's tale by an anonymous author, published by Plaza Joven in paperback (32 pages, in Spanish).
A young thief slips through stone windows in a city with an Eastern air, chases chests of coins, and stumbles upon fairy-tale characters. The story, with the rhythm of a classic fable, mixes adventure, fantasy, and a touch of humor, and the colored illustrations reinforce that popular tone.
1993 edition, illustrated by Chacopino & Cubero, in Plaza Joven's children's collection Sonido y Fantasía.
Aimed at children and young readers who enjoy adventure and fantasy tales.
