«El jardinero fiel» is the thriller novel by John Le Carré, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardback (639 pages, in Spanish).
The story begins with the murder of Tessa Quayle, wife of British diplomat Justin, in a remote area of Kenya. Convinced that the official investigation will not deliver justice, Justin decides to travel on his own to discover the truth; along the way he uncovers a plot that links pharmaceutical companies and government corruption, and in which the memory of the woman he loved is also at stake.
The novel is part of the Areté collection from Círculo de Lectores and is the Spanish translation of «The Constant Gardener», an original work by John Le Carré published in 2001.
Recommended for readers of spy and thriller novels with a political and social backdrop.

David John Moore Cornwell, known by his pen name John le Carré, was an English author. Many of his espionage novels have been adapted for film or television. He has been described as a "sophisticated, morally ambiguous writer", and is considered one of the greatest novelists of the postwar era. During the 1950s and 1960s, he worked for both the Security Service (MI5) and the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). Near the end of his life, le Carré became an Irish citizen.
