«El improbable viaje de Jonás Nada» is the young adult fantasy novel by Wieland Freund, published by Anaya in hardback (528 pages, in Spanish).
Jonás Nada has just inherited the Wunderlich mansion and discovers that someone is trying to kill him. With Rubén, a mute servant, he takes refuge in an old playroom and finds the entrance to Kanaria, a country of fabulous beings oppressed by an empress. A prophecy foretells that a twelve-year-old boy will overthrow the tyrant, placing Jonás at the heart of the adventure.
The original work, published in German in 2007, is titled «Die unwahrscheinliche Reise des Jonas Nichts»; the Spanish translation is by Moka Seco Reeg.
Recommended for young people aged 14 and up who enjoy fantasy worlds, unexpected heroes, and coming-of-age adventures.
