«El hueco de la mano» is the illustrated poetry collection by PJ Harvey and Seamus Murphy, published by Sexto Piso in paperback (232 pages, in Spanish).
Between 2011 and 2014, PJ Harvey and photographer Seamus Murphy travelled to Kosovo, Afghanistan and Washington, D.C.; while she recorded words, he took images. The volume brings together poems by Harvey with photographs by Murphy taken over more than two decades, a dialogue between literature and photography born of those journeys.
It is PJ Harvey's first poetry collection, belongs to the Sexto Piso Realidades series and the original title of the work is «The Hollow of the Hand».
For readers of poetry, admirers of documentary photography and followers of PJ Harvey interested in a personal view of conflicts.
