«El hombre ventilador» is the novel by William Kotzwinkle, published by Capitan Swing Libros in 2011 in paperback (208 pages, in Spanish).
The novel follows Horse Badorties, a washed-up hippy from the East Village underworld who scrapes by avoiding rent, bouncing cheques and selling small battery-powered fans. The author reproduces his stream of consciousness and slang in a delirious tale that delves into the mind of a character who always finds a way out of every problem.
The edition includes illustrations by Marieta Moraleda, translation by Iris Menéndez and an introduction by A. Jiménez Morato. Published in the Polifonías collection, it is the first edition.
For readers of contemporary fiction who enjoy marginal characters and stories told with delirious humour, in the vein of modern American fiction.
