«El gusano de seda y la araña» is the children's story by Tomás de Iriarte adapted by Mar Fernández Vázquez, published by Hércules de Ediciones in paperback.
The narration is presented as some papers that Hércules finds in a house in Tenerife; in them it tells how a silkworm and a spider each work at their own pace. The spider laughs at the worm's slowness, but he continues with his task without distraction. The fable shows that what matters is the result, not the speed.
It belongs to the series «Los Imperdibles de Hércules» and Blanca Ana Roig Rechou appears as editor.
Due to its short length and illustrations, it is aimed at children aged 6 to 9.
