«El gato araña» is a children's book by Nicola Bayley, published by Lumen in paperback (20 pages, in Spanish).
The protagonist is a cat who fantasizes about living like a spider: he imagines weaving his own web, searching for food, and playing in the garden. The narrative turns that imaginative game into a visual story, heavily illustrated, where nature and the small world of the arachnid appear through the drawings. A brief story close to a young audience.
First edition published in 1993. The book falls under the category of children's and young adult literature.
For child and young adult readers, especially those who enjoy illustrated stories featuring animals.
