«El error azul» is the novel by Javier Lorenzo, published by Editorial Planeta in hardback (352 pages, in Spanish).
Two men, Martín and Alberto, have loved Amelia, a different young woman, since childhood. Amelia chooses Martín, rebellious and atheist; Alberto, now Lieutenant Recuero, uses the Civil War and his power to destroy them. While Martín lives in hiding, Amelia suffers harassment and torture, but also receives a stamp of great value as proof of love. The novel pits the conflict's cruelty against the strength of feelings, until Amelia finds her moment of revenge.
The work belongs to the Autores Españoles e Iberoamericanos collection; published in 2011.
For readers of historical and contemporary fiction seeking a story of love, jealousy, and revenge during the Spanish Civil War.
