«El día que va morir Marilyn» is the novel by Terenci Moix, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (395 pages, in Catalan).
The plot follows two young people who were twenty in 1962 and spans three decades of life in Barcelona through memory: their childhood recollections, between cinema, comics and religious education, clash with their parents' memories of Barcelona in the 1930s and the Civil War.
The novel was published in 1969; this 2003 edition, revised by the author in 1996, restores the passages that Francoist censorship suppressed. In 1970 it won the Premi Crítica Serra d'Or de Novel·la.
