«El día que olvidé cerrar el grifo» is a children's story by Lucía Serrano, published by Anaya Infantil y Juvenil in hardback (32 pages, in Spanish).

After getting out of the shower, the protagonist leaves the tap running and falls asleep. The next morning he discovers that this small distraction has caused an unusual situation, but he decides to carry on as if nothing happened. A short, humorous story about the consequences of everyday life and the power of imagination.

Published in 2009 in the Sopa de Cuentos collection, aimed at early readers. The title received the Princesa de boli award in 2008.
