Synopsis of El despertar del amor

Elaine Metcliffe, a thirty-nine-year-old woman, wakes up in a different century, in another woman's bed and married to a man who is not her husband. Charles Mortimer, a handsome nobleman from the 19th century, is nothing like the husband she left in the 20th century. Determined to seduce the young and frigid wife he believes he has married, Charles educates Elaine in all those practices of physical pleasure with which she never dared to imagine. Elaine finds herself at a crossroads, choosing between continuing with the cold marriage she left behind and, therefore, resolving how and why she has traveled in time, or abandoning herself to Charles' exquisite caresses.
