«El corazón del jabalí» is the contemporary fiction novel by Baltasar Porcel, published by El Aleph Editores in paperback (288 pages, in Spanish).
A mature novel that returns to the author's origins. With literary godfather Baltasar Guillem de Las Casas Viejas as a backdrop, it alternates recent past and contemporary reality, with characters driven by passions or beaten down by life, between an ancient and modern Mallorca where Juan March and Llorenç Villalonga appear.
Part of the Modernos y Clásicos collection. Published in Catalan as «El cor del senglar»; it won the Premi de la Crítica de Narrativa Catalana and the Premi Joan Crexells de narrativa.
Aimed at readers of contemporary fiction and literary novels, especially those who follow Spanish narrative.
Baltasar Porcel i Pujol was a Spanish writer, journalist and literary critic. His enormous legacy credited him as one of the greatest authors in Catalan literature from the 20th century.
