«El bosc de la nit» is the novel by Djuna Barnes, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (208 pages, in Catalan).
Written in 1936, this novel by Djuna Barnes breaks with the conventions of its time through its language, rhythm, and style. It boldly addresses lesbianism and religion. The initial, more explicit text was cut for publication; this edition restores it in Catalan with the original wording and punctuation.
The original title is Nightwood (1936). The Catalan translation is by Maite Cirugeda. It belongs to the MOLU s.XX - Les Millors Obres collection.
For readers of literary fiction and twentieth-century classics who appreciate poetic and experimental prose.
Djuna Barnes was an American artist, illustrator, journalist, and writer who is perhaps best known for her novel Nightwood (1936), a cult classic of lesbian fiction and an important work of modernist literature.
