«El arte de tener razón» is the philosophy essay by Arthur Schopenhauer, published by Alianza Editorial in paperback (144 pages, in Spanish).
An ironic guide to eristic dialectics: the art of getting our theses accepted in a discussion even if they are not true. Schopenhauer argues that in debates approval is sought before truth, and proposes 38 stratagems to defend one's own position and come out on top.
Subtitled «Expuesto en 38 estratagemas», it is the second volume of the Biblioteca Schopenhauer of Alianza's El libro de bolsillo; translated from German by Jesús Alborés Rey with a final essay by Franco Volpi.
Suitable for those who enjoy philosophical essays and are interested in rhetoric, argumentation, and the art of debate.

Arthur Schopenhauer was a German philosopher and writer. He is known for his 1818 work The World as Will and Representation, which characterizes the phenomenal world as the manifestation of a blind and irrational noumenal will. Building on the transcendental idealism of Immanuel Kant, Schopenhauer developed an atheistic metaphysical and ethical system that rejected the contemporaneous ideas of German idealism.
