«Dormir amb Winona Ryder» is the literary novel by Edgar Cantero, published by Proa in paperback (320 pages, in Catalan).
An aspiring writer discovers that his inspiration is Winona Ryder, an actress he has only seen in a couple of films and who lives more than five thousand kilometres away. His journey after the muse is a road movie about love, cinema and pop culture, with eccentric characters and echoes of the philosophical and detective novel that Borges imagined in 1941.
Literary debut of Edgar Cantero. It won the Premi Ciutat de Badalona and the Premi Joan Crexells for narrative in 2007.
For readers of contemporary fiction interested in literary road movies and nods to cinema and pop culture.
