Doña Piñones is a charming children's book in Spanish that tells the story of Doña María del Carmen Piñones, a very fearful old woman. Every time a different wind blows near her house, she hides: from the North Wind under her umbrella, from the South Wind in the closet, from the East Wind on her duster, and from the West Wind hanging from the lamp. One day, a boy arrives to help her overcome her fears. This story, written by María de la Luz Uribe and illustrated by Fernando Krahn, is a tender lesson about courage and friendship.
