This edition of 'Political and Private Speeches' by Demosthenes, published by Biblioteca Básica Gredos in 2000, brings together a selection of the Athenian orator's most influential speeches. It includes works such as 'Against Philip', 'On the Crown', 'In Defense of Ctesiphon', 'Against Aphobus I-II' and 'Against Neaera'. This collection offers a deep insight into the political and social life of ancient Greece, as well as the rhetorical talent of Demosthenes, one of the most important speakers in history. The translation and notes are by A. López Eire and José Manuel Colubi Falcó, with a general introduction by Juan Manuel Cortés Copete.
