«Diotenez» is the modern and contemporary fiction novel by Karlos Linazasoro, published by Erein Argitaletxea in paperback (144 pages, in Basque).
The work opens with the image of a ten-year-old boy, naked and malnourished, on a wasteland while a photographer smears honey on his face to attract flies. That raw, visual scene is the starting point of a contemporary fiction narrative in Basque.
It belongs to Erein's Bakanak collection, number 5. The work was awarded the Erein-Euskadiko Kutxa Narrative Prize 2007 and was published on 20 April 2007.
The work is aimed at readers of contemporary narrative in Basque and at those who want to approach Erein's Bakanak collection.
