«Dioses y legiones» is the historical novel by Michael Curtis Ford, published by Debolsillo in hardback (432 pages, in Spanish).
In the year 354, Julian studies philosophy in Athens and is the last survivor of a political purge that wiped out his family. The emperor puts him in command of the legions to stop the Germanic tribes; his rise to the throne leads him to abandon the Christian faith and attempt to restore paganism in Rome, in a story of battles and intrigues.
Work originally published as «Gods and Legions» in 2002, translated into Spanish by Matilde Fernández de Villavicencio; part of the Best Seller collection from Debolsillo.
For readers of historical fiction set in the Roman Empire and followers of biographies of emperors.
