«Dios ha nacido en el exilio» is the historical novel by Vintila Horia, published by Planeta in hardback (272 pages, in Spanish).
The Roman poet Ovid, exiled by Augustus to the land of the Dacians (present-day Romania), lives his exile between pain and nostalgia. There he discovers the simple, religious soul of that people, and his banishment becomes a wait of hope, in the times before the coming of Christ.
First instalment of the series «Trilogia exilului», originally published in 1960 and winner of the Prix Goncourt that same year.
Will appeal to readers of historical, Romanian literature and exile narratives.
