«Dinosaurios Extremos» is María Mañeru's children's nonfiction book about dinosaurs, published by Libsa in hardback (144 pages, in Spanish).
Dinosaurios Extremos briefly explains what dinosaurs were, in which periods of the Mesozoic era they lived, and why they disappeared. It reviews specimens from the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous, and also includes Pleistocene animals such as the woolly mammoth and the sabre-toothed cat, which were not dinosaurs.
This book was published in 2012 and is part of the Monstruos Extremos collection, of which it is the first title.
The book is aimed at children aged 7 to 9, as a first introduction to palaeontology and dinosaurs.
