«Dinosaure d'un jour» is a children's picture book by Jim Murphy and Mark Alan Weatherby, published by L'Ecole des Loisirs in hardback (40 pages).
The book recounts a day in the life of a family of Hypsilophodon dinosaurs, small and little-known, whose great speed helps them survive. The illustrations recreate their prehistoric habitat: dense forests, tall plants and a pterosaur in the sky, while the group moves in search of food and safety.
The album «Dinosaure d'un jour» was originally published in English as «Dinosaur for a Day» in 1992; the French edition is from 1993.
Recommended for children aged 3 to 5, especially for young readers fascinated by dinosaurs and prehistoric life.
