«Dime una palabra más» is the novel by Iaia Caputo, published by Xordica Editorial in paperback (200 pages, in Spanish).
It narrates the sentimental education of a girl marked by paternal authority and her parents' unstable relationship, and her struggle for independence in 1970s Italy. The protagonist grows up between hardness and fragility, seeking to be herself while needing the approval of the men who have influenced her life. With a family grammar close to Natalia Ginzburg, the novel reflects on the passage of time, loss, love and the place of women, and finds in writing a refuge to save herself.
It belongs to the Carrachinas collection, number 64. Work originally published in Italian in 2006, translated into Spanish by Eduardo Martínez de Pisón.
