«Die blaurote Luftmatratze» is the short story anthology edited by Detlev Reinert, published by Eichborn in hardback (103 pages, in German).
Fifteen short stories by authors such as Patricia Highsmith, John Irving and Stanislaw Lem are carried along by summer. The anthology takes as its central image a bather on a blue and red air mattress and includes illustrations by Michael Sowa, Lorenzo Mattotti and Guido Sieber.
Subtitled «15 Schriftsteller lassen sich treiben», it was published in 1996 by Eichborn together with the Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin.
For those who enjoy the short story, this anthology offers a varied sample of narrative voices and illustrations.
