«Días sin ti» is the contemporary novel by Elvira Sastre, published in paperback by Seix Barral (264 pages, in Spanish).
The novel interweaves two thwarted loves: one cut short by death, the other by circumstance. Dora, a teacher from the Republic era, recalls her life before her grandson Gael, a sculptor; her confession, tender and unflinching, seeks to give him the keys to recover from heartbreak. The narrative reflects on melancholy and the meaning of a love that ends.
The work won the Biblioteca Breve Prize 2019. It belongs to the Biblioteca Breve collection and went on sale on 5 March 2019.
Aimed at readers of literary fiction, especially those who enjoy stories of love, family memory and historical backdrop.
