«Diamants i culs de got» is a historical fiction novel by Joana Raspall i Juanola, published by Del Prado in paperback.
An elderly narrator recalls his life in supposed memoirs, constructed as fiction but anchored to real events of the 20th century. Joana Raspall's poetic gaze turns these memories into a social and intimate chronicle, where individual memory dialogues with the collective experience of a turbulent era.
The subtitle of the work is «Records d'un vell»; it was published in March 2007.
An appropriate read for those interested in the historical memory of the 20th century and in narratives of an autobiographical tone.
Joana Raspall i Juanola was a Spanish writer and librarian. She was born in Barcelona and died in Sant Feliu de Llobregat.
