«Des hommes» is the novel by Laurent Mauvignier, published by Les Éditions de Minuit in paperback (280 pages, in French).
In 1960, a group of men is sent to Algeria during the so-called «events». Two years later they return to France, fall silent, and resume their lives. For readers of contemporary fiction interested in the Algerian War, historical memory, and its effects on the present.
