«Der Nebelmann» is the thriller by Donato Carrisi, published by Atrium Verlag in hardback (336 pages, in German).
A girl disappears in a village in the Italian Alps; investigator Vogel arrives to solve the case. Thirty years earlier, other children disappeared in those woods and there are fears that «the Nebelmann» has struck again. Vogel appears with a bloodstained shirt; his account is unsettling.
Translation from the Italian by Karin Diemerling; the novel was originally published as «La ragazza nella nebbia» in 2015.
A work recommended for fans of thrillers and mystery novels with a wintry setting and oppressive atmosphere.
