Seven prisoners escape from the Westhofen concentration camp and the Nazi regime searches for them relentlessly. The work was originally published in 1942 and was adapted into film in 1944 by Fred Zinnemann.
A read for those who appreciate historical narrative about Nazi Germany and German exile literature.
