«Dans l'enfer des tournantes» is the autobiographical testimony of Samira Bellil, published by Folio in paperback (320 pages, in French).
Bellil recalls the gang rapes she suffered in her teens in the French suburbs, known as «tournantes», and describes the subsequent hell: guilt, family rejection, drugs and alcohol. The account, born after a long therapy, seeks to record her story, support other victims and break the code of silence.
Work from the Folio Documents collection, produced with the collaboration of Josée Stoquart and with an unpublished epilogue by the author.
For readers of non-fiction and memoirs who want to discover a story of overcoming and denunciation of sexual violence in the French social context.
