«Curso de Coragem Para Meninos com Medo» is the children's book by Rita Vilela, published by Chiado in paperback (22 pages, in Portuguese).
Little Maria is afraid of many things, but a very special course at the zoo will teach her to understand it. An elephant, a giraffe, a zebra, a tortoise and other animals show her valuable lessons about fear, preparing her to face even her grandmother's fearsome cat.
Published in May 2012, the text originated as a theatrical piece and is presented in this edition as a narrative.
Recommended for children who are learning to manage their fears and for parents or educators who want to address the topic in a relatable way.
